Search for:
Power off the MacBook Pro and place it on a clean and smooth surface
Difficulty level: very easy. Ingredients: • A MacBook Pro • Two appropriate RAM So-Dimms • A philips 00 screwdriver
Put the MacBook Pro face down
Remove the battery
Move up both the battery hooks at the same time.
Remove the screws
There are three screws holding the RAM shield (highlighted in red in the picture), remove them using a double-zero philips screwdriver.
Remove RAM shield
Unplug the RAM modules
Plug-in new modules
Fit carefully the So-Dimm modules.
Lock down modules pushing them down.
Close the MacBook Pro
Place and lock the RAM shield, put back the screws and the the battery.
Power on the MacBook Pro
