Remove the battery

Shut down the iBook, and put it on a smooth and clean surface.
Unplug power supply and remove iBook battery

Remove the keyboard

Gently act on the two hooks that fix the keyboard (in yellow), and if needed use a screwdriver on the additional lock (in orange).

Remove the AirPort card

When removing the AirPort card unplug also antemna cable. When plugging it again be very carefull: the plug must be completely plugged, otherwise AirPort antemna will not work properly (signal very low or totally missing).

Remove screws

Remove the four screws (in orange) that hold the RAM shield.

Unplug previous RAM module

To remove a previous RAM module (if needed) act an the two hooks on the side or the RAM (in yellow).
When inserting the new module fit it carefully.
