The recent faqintosh reorganization moved it in direction of a huge use of XML (and related technologies: XSLT, XmlHttpRequest/AJAX and so on).
This change opened the way to software solutions using XmlHttpRequest (also known as “AJAX”) in order to exchange information in style “Web2.0”.
Claudio Procida has developed a widget per Dashboard performing a quick and effective search and browsing on faqintosh FAQs, through Dashboard.
Claudio’s widget is free, just like a lot of other software he has developed (check out his site, emeraldion.it).
How to use it
The faqintosh Widget requires Dashboard, then Mac OS 10.4 (“Tiger”) or newer is needed, and an Internet connection.
By downloading it with Safari the user will be prompted for widget installation, otherwise download it, expand, then double-click the widget in order to install it in Dashboard.
